Mercyful Fate is a Danish heavy metal band from Copenhagen, formed in 1981 by vocalist King Diamond and guitarist Hank Shermann.  Influenced by progressive rock and hard rock, with lyrics dealing with Satan and the occult, Mercyful Fate were part of the first wave of black metal in the early to mid-1980s. Many of the bands from this movement went on to influence later black metal musicians in the 1990s, particularly in Norway. Since the band's inception in 1981, Mercyful Fate have released seven studio albums, two extended plays and four compilations

This auction is for the incredibly hard to find RESTRICTED TO A FEW DOZEN, "FAN ONLY" issue of the album "CURSE OF THE PHARAOHS" issued in 1984. This is a bit special really as the condition of this album is in one word "fabulous". This will be a museum condition vinyl  upgrade for most discerning collectors and does not show up very often in this collectible investment grade condition!! (Actually it never shows up in any condition at all!!) This is rare as hen's teeth material and worthy of investment for the future.

Vinyl: NM. They don't come any better than this unless you can travel back in time to the pressing plant. This vinyl has barely been played and very probably might be unplayed. It has no marks and just a couple of wispy paper sleeve removal traces only visible under a strong light. On replay it only gets better. Great strong stereo separation with near silent (no crackle etc.) replay. Blinding musicianship of this first wave black metal legend. So much better than the CD! Needless to say this vinyl has no problems at all. NO jumps, NO skips, NO sticks etc.

Sleeve: EX+. Again this has to be seen to be believed. A properly looked after sleeve without any storage wear. On first sight this looks like it came just from the printers. A splendid overall condition of this sleeve which also benefits a beautiful crisp opening and spine which has 100% perfect lettering making it a first press proper. Tiny corner "mini" bumps. This sleeve has no creases at all!! There is nothing untoward like writing or stains. A top notch investment grade sleeve. NO splits NO stains etc.

This is a unique investment opportunity!!! The next prog album to go completely through the roof. Finding this album in any condition at all is nearly impossible so late in the day. Get this while you still can. This value of the album is only going to go one way ... up and up ... until it will be totally unavailable at all for a reasonable price.

Important : International postage will be registered and insured if over GBP 20.00.  Please wait for my invoice before paying. Postage will be according to Royal Mail rates. Postage is NOT a money spinning exercise for me.

Though there are rarely ever any problems with my items, I always try my very best to describe everything exactly!  PLEASE REMEMBER to contact meFIRST,  if you have any problems at all, before you leave feedback and star ratings, so I get a chance to turn any negative experience into a positive one!  I can always happily sort anything out for you, if you let me know you have a problem!  This way no one has to leave Negative/Neutral feedback - and we both walk away happy! Similarly with the amount of stars, anything less than a full 5 * rating is effectively detrimental to a seller's rating as lower ratings will incur higher Final Value Fees  and lower priority in the bidlists eventually making it unattractive to list items on Ebay at all. I know of at least one major previous Ebay seller who has decided not to list via Ebay again. Please do NOT bid if you cannot give me at least 1 chance to sort everything out to your FULL satisfaction in the unlikely event of a problem.  Thanks again!!

This an excellent investment opportunity!!! Any questions please ask me and I will try to answer soon.
