Description

Public Image Limited- Metal Box, limited edition 3 record vinyl album housed in a metal box, 46 years old! This first edition release by Virgin Records includes original inner sleeves and a metal box, along with the track listing sheet. In addition, there's a full-page ad from the NME, advertising the album at the time. Originally released as "Metal Box" in 1979 by Virgin Records (containing three 12" 45rpm records), it was deleted from the catalogue on 23 November 1979 after an initial release of 60,000 units.
Some oxidation of the tin, which is common, but it's not that bad inside or on the back. The records and labels are very clean, with few surface marks. There are some visible ones, but they are light scuffs and don't cause any skips or jump. I've photographed the significant ones, and the rest are hardly noticeable and few and far between. If not for these marks, it's NM/Ex as it plays very well indeed.
