Here we have a Very Nice, VERY RARE METAL CHURCH - THE DARK (1986) VINYL LP — SRC 1ST PRESSING.
I’ve done a lot of research on this record and have come to the conclusion that this is one of the original SRC PRESSING VARIANTS. Variant #3 from what I have found. Everything points to it being that one. It even has the word “EAST” embossed around the Side-B Spindle Hole label (Pictured). Here is the Matrix Runout for both sides:
Side-A — STE 60493 A DMM-2 Sterling TJ 11
Side-B — STE 60493 B DMM-1 Sterling TJ 1-1 (EAST Embossed around Spindle hole label)
The condition is good overall. The Jacket has some wear for sure. Some small creases, corner and edge dings, and little bits of paper loss. Mostly from shelf wear and storing. The Record itself looks great and plays great! Only a few small scratches, none of which affect play. I have it in a nice Takmork Archival Sleeve. The Elektra sleeve is in good shape, with only a small tear at the bottom (Pictured)
*PLEASE KEEP ALL THIS IN MIND WHEN PURCHASING. I’m fairly certain about the rarity in the Pressing Details, but I always say to DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH when it comes to things like this. That way you know EXACTLY what you’re purchasing. I’m a huge collector myself and I take this all very seriously.
