METALLICA - ...And Justice for All (1988 UK First Press 2LP) - Matrix Errors & Single Sleeve
After a storage issue I’m selling my old vinyl so check out my other item. In short there was a roof collapse and I’ve binned my turntable, donated my floor standing missions to the local leeds revive and flogging an amp for next to nowt.
However, I do have some rare vinyl and interesting vinyl - I will say that for the most part the vinyl is in pretty good condition - I will state on each sale what I consider it to be and err on the side of under rating it - sleeves are again mostly pretty good apart from some storage pressing - they were all in a sealed case so have avoided any direct damage which would make it unsellable.
I have two lots of various records to sell nd some individual ones I’m going to list separately. I’ll take any questions and if you want more photographs that won’t be a problem.
I’ve used AI to complete edition, engineer, pressing locations etc descriptions based on matrix etchings, wax etchings etc, but not for any other reason.

### Overall Condition: Very Good (VG) to Very Good Plus (VG+)Up for sale is an original 1988 UK first pressing of Metallica's legendary double album, purchased on release day at the iconic Circle Records in Rotherham.
True to the authentic 1988 UK release, this features the original wide-spine single pocket jacket (not a gatefold) housing both discs. This specific copy is a highly sought-after variant for matrix code collectors, featuring the famous "scribbled out" handwritten error text on the runout wax where the New York mastering plant corrected a text mistake before stamping, right next to the authentic MASTERDISK DMM codes.
---### Condition & Key Features:* **The Vinyl Discs (Graded VG+):** Both records are visually clean and retain a great gloss finish. Expect only light, superficial cosmetic paper hairlines from honest handling out of the sleeves over the decades. It plays with excellent fidelity and that signature punchy, dry 1988 mix. Labels are clean.*
**The Inner Sleeves:** Comes housed in the original plain white paper inner sleeves standard for the early UK distribution batches.*
**The Outer Jacket (Graded G) some slight edge discolouration and near 40 years of ownership.
Authentic UK single sleeve jacket. The spine text is legible and entirely intact with no major splits. Shows minor shelf edge friction and light corner softening consistent with age.
