This copy is hybridized - this first press vinyl copy of Garage Days Re-Revisited is not the original record that came in this original first press promo cover. This is an original, commercial, red and black color label first-press of the $5.98 EP! record for which there was no longer an original cover for some reason. This record has been married to this promo cover (that once housed a white label record that is no longer) out of necessity to keep an intact copy.
Record is in VG+ condition. Would be better graded but the labels are blemished and less than stellar. Otherwise, plays phenomenally. One can easily say this grades better, but not me due to the cosmetic condition of the labels which are still pretty clean, bright, colorful.
Inner sleeve is the typical Elektra logo paper, with some splitting on bottom.
Jacket is conservatively graded VG as it is not the original for this record, obviously worn from shelving and handling. There is small writing in ballpoint pen in the top corner “87”. There is creasing and a promo-cut out in the top left corner. The gold lettered prom stamp is on the back, fully legible… S 239609. $5.98 EP! Sticker is faded, discolored
This copy is priced to sell. NR.
Album will ship well fortified in a cardboard LP mailer with protective inserts for extra protection, record outside the jacket to prevent seam splitting, and in a separate new paper sleeve along with the original.
