Description
The vinyl has some surface noise at the beginning of each side. You will see some surface marks on each side and a rub mark on Side A. Which does not affect playback as it looks like the original owner tried to remove residue from a groove.
The surface noise mentioned occurs mostly on Side A in comparison to Side B which sounds like a slightly choppy hiss in the left speaker. It’s heard mostly during quieter sections such as the intro to “Battery” & this is where this particular surface noise is heard the most on the entire album.
However, once it reaches around the middle of “Master Of Puppets” this choppy hiss surface noise in the left channel dissipates and then you’ll hear mostly light general surface clicks. Side B is much better overall. You’ll mostly hear this surface noise in the left channel during quieter parts but it doesn’t interfere when the music is louder. The vinyl doesn't skip anywhere.
The album cover shows some corner wear and shelf wear all around the cover with some light creases around the cover. The inner sleeve as you’d likely expect has split seams and wear on the corners but still looks pretty nice overall considering.
I’m asking for exactly what I paid for this copy out of pocket a few weeks ago at a local record store (after applying Store Credit for trading in some vinyl) and I’ve only played it once after a thorough cleaning. I would say this is a Good copy overall if you want an original Elektra Records pressing that doesn’t cost over $100 and isn’t as bad overall as copies that cost around $50 - $60 and are graded lower as Fair or Poor where the album covers look like a wreck and the vinyl is littered with audible surface scratches. The store was asking for far more $ for this copy than I believe they should've been (NYC inflation doesn't help).
Please do not e-mail me with a lower offer as that is not an option I’ve added to this listing. It’s kind of insulting after I’ve made it clear that I’m asking for the same price that I paid and after this copy was much more expensive before I applied store credit to this purchase. This is not a $50 copy like others that are posted here and on Discogs and after eBay’s fees I will end up with even less $ after this sale. So please take this into consideration with my current asking price as I didn’t raise it to compensate for eBay’s fees so I’d break even. I’m still going to lose some $ from this sale regardless. Thank you.
