METALLICA Metallica hails from 2008 and is a SEALED U.S. 4 LP 45RPM set pressed on 180 gram audiophile quality vinyl.
The self-titled Metallica (aka The Black Album), the bands fifth studio album, became one of the biggest selling albums in history. The 1991 album has sold more than 15 million copies in the U.S. (the rare diamond certification) and 22 million worldwide. With some of the groups most popular and radiofriendly songs, Enter Sandman, The Unforgiven and Nothing Else Matters, Metallica peaked at #1 and brought the band solidly into a league all their own. Though a step away from the thrash metal the band pioneered, the album was nevertheless heavier than anything the band had yet recorded. Included in Rolling Stones Essential Recordings Of The 90s and Spins 90 Greatest Albums Of The 90s, The Black Album was also honored as one of the Best Metal Albums Of All Time by Q Magazine, which noted that Metallica elevated the band from cult metalheroes into global superstars.
This Deluxe Vinyl package features four 45RPM 180 gram vinyl discs pressed at RTI and housed in a Stoughton gatefold jacket with a Louder Faster Heavier branded bellyband.
