METROPAK

You're A Rebel/O.K. Let's Go/Run Run Run

Metropak Records : PAK 001

Here is a VERY GOOD copy of Metropak's first single releaseon their own Metropak Records label dating from 1979.  This was a limited release of 1000, this copy is numbered 991.

Metropak were a post-punk band, active in Edinburgh, Scotland, in 1979 and 1980.  Band members were Stephen Harrison (guitar and vocal, first two singles only), Robin Thistlethwaite (guitar and vocal), Murray Bruce (bass guitar), Toni McVittie (drums) and Helen Rutherford (keyboards).  Metropak played many venues in and around Edinburgh.  The band released three singles on the PAK Records label which have remained sought-after objects.  Renewed interest in the band and the music of that era in Scotland resulted in two Metropak songs, "You’re a Rebel" and "Here’s Looking at You", being included on Messthetics #105: DIY 77-81 Scotland, an American compilation CD released in 2008.

The record is in VERY GOOD condition and plays well, with surface noise and the odd light click, as you would expect.  The picture sleeve is in GOOD condition, with minor creasing and ringwear. The glued seams have come apart, revealing a stamped "Metropak" and "000991" inside the sleeve.

All records are well packaged in quality mailers and sent recorded delivery in the UK and with adequate compensation, depending on selling price, if sent abroad.
