MFSL Beatles - The Collection LP Box Set (Sealed)  - Low Serial Number                                                             

Catalog Number - MFSL BC-1

Condition of Vinyl - Sealed  - This is an impossible MFSL Box Set to find in a Sealed Condition.  Open sets in truly mint condition are hard to find, let alone finding one Sealed!!! 

The Beatles – The Collection Box Set was undoubtedly the crowning achievement of Mobile Fidelity, representing the best thing that the firm ever produced.

Condition of Outer Box - Sealed / Mint, with sharp corners and totally intact tape seams.  No hammered corners, No tape splits and No discoloration or wear whatsoever.

Serial Number of Box Set - Below 1000, as evidenced by the October 22, 1982 Shipping Date on the UPS Shipping Label from MFSL Sound Labs. 

Released with much anticipation in early October 1982, the The Collection was lauded by critics and fans worldwide and sold-out completely within the first year.  MFSL repressed a second run of the Beatles Box Set for a total production run of 25,000 over the next two years or until October 1985. 

With the shipment date of October 22 from Mobile Fidelity being so close to the release date of 1 October, this MFSL Beatles Box Set surely has a serial number that is below 1000. 

As verification to this reasoning, I cracked open another sealed MFSL Beatles Box Set that had a UPS Shipping Date of 14 November - the serial number is in the high 900s.

The 14 LPs making up the MFSL Beatles Box Set were pressed in Japan on JVC Super Vinyl, producing the finest sounding version of the following albums:

  • Beatles For Sale
  • Help
  • Rubber Soul
  • Revolver
  • Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band
  • The Beatles (2 LPs)

Finding a copy of MFSL Beatles / The Collection in a Sealed Condition is impossible!!!  From my personal collection.

The MFSL Beatles / Box Set will be packaged in a double boxed arrangement to ensure that it arrives in the same condition it is now - literally "like new!"
