Description
'Spanish Train and Other Stories' is a magnificent album and was (first) released in 1976 and essentially introduced Chris de Burgh to the world. He had a lot of success with it in North America (especially in Quebec) and immediately showcased his unique talents as a storyteller; blending folk, pop, and rock styles seamlessly. A & M Records re-released it in a half-speed mastered format in 1982 (SPJ-4568) as part of their "Audiophile Series". It is one of the hardest titles to come by in their catalog. Already brilliantly produced and recorded by Robin Geoffrey Cable, this Japanese pressed version is remarkable in bringing out all the hidden details in the recording, especially the acoustic guitars and strings.
Condition of Lp Jacket: Excellent+....showing only minimal wear to spine with evidence of creases along the edges. Colors are still very vivid.
Condition of Record: Near Mint....beautiful gloss...hardly a blemish to be seen. Pressed on translucent virgin vinyl and pressed in Japan as is indicated in the dead wax area to both sides....(hand-etched "JAPAN")
