You are bidding on a very rare SEALED copy of Peter Frampton's 1976 release Frampton Comes Alive from Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs (MFSL 2-262 Limited Edition N0.1775). It is a half speed Master Recording Mastered from the Original Studio Tapes.Specially plated on 200 grams of High Defination Vinyl. This album is absolutely mint condition sealed in MOFI's heavy perforated plastic sleeve and further protected by another sleeve. It has been stored in a specially designed album box in a smoke free environment.

The album was recorded in 1975, primarily at Winterland in San Francisco, California and the Long Island Arena in Commack, New York. The Winterland recordings were recorded on a 24 track master recorder. Other concerts were recorded on a 16 track recorder. Recordings from 4 different shows were used for the original album. Master tapes were recorded at 15 inches per second using professional Dolby "A" noise reduction.

Frampton played a glossy black Gibson Les Paul electric guitar on the album. Frampton's Les Paul "Black Beauty" guitar was fitted with three humbucking pickups (as opposed to the usual two pickups found on most Gibson Les Pauls).
