Mobile Fidelity LP
of the
Bob Marley And The Wailers
album titled
"Catch A Fire"
(MFSL 1-236) (1995)
This is one of the albums that Mobile Fidelity put out on 200 gram vinyl, almost the same weight as the UHQR series. Only 5000 copies were made of the UHQR titles, and probably the same amount were pressed of this title as well. JVC had minimum pressing runs that they would do, but with the Anadisc series they could press as many, or as few as they wanted.
This one has a super low serial number of 0253 !!
It is a nice copy with no splits or tears in the gatefold jacket. There is a small dent in the upper right corner (see photo). The record is free of any scratches, even under intense light. There is a short superficial mark on one side that looks like a scuff but I think it is an artifact from when it was pressed. The important thing is that it plays through that area without any noise at all.
It has been professionally cleaned on a VPI-27 Typhoon record cleaning machine, and then again on a KL Audio Ultrasonic record cleaning machine.
