Essene Brotherhood Band’s “Funky Rubber Band” is an exceptionally scarce private-press Miami funk/soul 45 featuring vocals by Saadia recording artist Joey Gilmore.  Issued on a little-known independent Miami label, this underground release captures the raw, local sound that made private Florida funk and soul records so desirable.

Note:  This record is on the Lee label, not Sansu.
