MICHAEL CAINE HAND-SIGNED (AND DRAWN!!) “THE SWARM” SOUNDTRACK LP!  (NM)
“The Swarm” was easily one of the dumbest if star-laden “disaster movies” of the 70’s
that turned out to be a real disaster at the box-office, thanks to an inept script and lackluster acting and direction.  Michael Caine must have had not such great memories of the movie,  but he obviously has a great sense of humor.  We say that because the two time Oscar winning  actor had a very “unique” response when he was asked to autograph the soundtrack LP for the  movie over two decades after the movie’s original release,  Leaving an award ceremony in  Beverly Hills (the BAFTAS), he was presented with the album and started laughing, “I’m trying  to forget that one!!” Then he turned around and said, “Give me that thing!”  He not only signed  the album in his distinctive scrawl in silver Sharpie, but more tellingly, he actually drew his version  of a bee below his name! Now far be from us to be an art critic, but Mr. Caine’s “bee” looks more  like another insect -- like a cockroach. Could it be he “celebrated” too much at the BAFTAS? No matter, His “artwork” only makes this item truly one of a kind!  The record is Near Mint (NM),  as is the cover except for a CUT IN THE COVER AT THE BOTTOM LEFT. (see photo.)
PLEASE NOTE: We do not provide a COA (Certificate of Authenticity) because we do not  need one. And you really don’t either.  Why? A COA is a paper stating authenticity.  Our  word is more than a mere statement. It is our record and that’s as authentic as you could  ask for, since that is the record of ratings and comments from previous buyers that EBAY,  not us, collects, collates, and then lists. In addition to that, we do our very best to provide  you with as much information as possible of the source or provenance of each item we list.  Thank you!
This item comes from a smoke free home and will be shipped with the upmost care. Item is exactly as pictured and described. Buy with confidence.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
