Michael Garrick MBE (30 May 1933 – 11 November 2011) was an English jazz pianist and composer, and a pioneer in mixing jazz with poetry recitations and in the use of jazz in large-scale choral works.
The Heart is a Lotus features Ian Carr (trumpet, flugelhorn), Art Themen (soprano sax, tenor sax, clarinet, flute), Don Rendell (soprano sax, tenor sax, flute), Coleridge Goode and Dave Green (bass), Trevor Tompkins (drums), Norma Winstone (vocals)
These LPs we have rated as some of the best condition you will ever find. They have come from a private family collector, many of the LPs for sale from this collection have only ever been a handful of times, each. Each album when played, was catalogued; when it was played, which side and how often. They have NOT been touched or played since 1980. Stored upright in special LP storage cases. Stored in a heated home nearly 40 years. There will of course be the signs of natural ageing of the covers and inner sleeves but the records themselves will be mark free. Vinyl Condition: Excellent - virtually unplayed Sleeve: Very Good, clean, uncreased.
