SIDE A:     BAILANDO CONTIGO

                  (Rock With You)

SIDE B:     TRABAJANDO DE DIA Y DE NOCHE

                  (Working Day And Night)

MEGARARE and HARD-TO-FIND CBS Records very first Promotional Stereo press released by DISCOS CBS (CBS Records), made and distributed in Chile in 1979 by EMI Odeon Chilena S.A., licensed from CBS Inc., USA, catalog number 11342, with hand etched matrix numbers AL-35745/2 Y in Side A and AL-35745/3 in Side B, with traditional orange/black CBS Records labels with white “DISCOS CBS” and solid center. Yes Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!!

“Rock With You” was originally released in October 1979 by Epic Records in USA and the same year we could see this single released here in Chile. Song titles are written in Spanish, translated to English, with full credits for songwriters and arrangements, with additional information about licenses. If you know this single you will have already noticed that in original US Epic issue they don’t give credits for arrangements as you can see and compare in this link: https://www.discogs.com/es/Michael-Jackson-Rock-With-You/release/10435826. You can also see this is an authentic promotional press with the text across the labels “VENTA PROHIBIDA – PROMOCIONAL” (Sale Forbidden – Promotional). So, here you have the chance to get and own this UNIQUE PROMOTIONAL PRESS of “Rock With You” by Michael Jackson, with Spanish-written song titles and additional credits for arrangements!!! WOW!!! A MUST TO HAVE for all fans, lovers and collectors of Michael Jackson, Motown and R&B/Soul Disco!!!

This record has the original generic CBS plastic bag, which’s in EX or EX+ condition, clean and complete, with only normal wear, some creases and faint ring marks. The record is in great VG+ or EX- condition both sides, glossy and clean, with only soft scuffs and light hairlines, hard to see at first sight, with a faint warp, which don’t affect play at all. Labels are in nice NM- or NM condition the Side A, clean and clear, with only minimal spindle hole wear, and in EX- or EX condition the Side B, with minimal spindle hole wear and a faint mark of humidity. The sound is in strong EX+ or NM- condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, virtually no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), with only minimal occasional soft crackles here and there, barely audible, a bit more “evident” in the last seconds of each song, which of course don’t cause any distraction from the great sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, a record in a great condition, with a very nice look, almost immaculate labels and still superb sound quality after 38 years, which won’t disappoint anyone!!! And keep in mind the Spanish-written song titles and that it’s an authentic Promotional press!!! How many times have you seen this record auctioned here in eBay before? Your own answer will tell you the level of rarity of this single!!! Yes, Sirs, what a FIND!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels and cover in detail. WOW!!!

Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…

Thanks for watching and bidding, good luck and best regards from Chile

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

FEEDBACK

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.

IMPORTANT TO READ

We are not responsible for all the taxes, duties, fees you could have to pay in your country, but I always declare the records as gift.

If you have some doubt or question feel free to contact us, we will be glad to answer all that you want to know about this item.
