Hello and welcome to one of my auctions! I am a record collector for over 15 years now and I think it’s about time to sell a couple records to make some room and pass it on to another collector. This week’s auctions feature my pop and progressive records that are from my own personal collection, so here we go!
On offer, a very rare first Holland pressing of Michael Jackson – Thriller on Epic Records, cat no. 85930 complete with the limited edition full colour poster, original inner sleeve and Michael Jackson + Jackson Five promotional insert. The cover also advertises for the temporary FREE SUPERPOSTER.
Songs featured are: " Wanna Be Starting Somethin’ ", " Baby Be Mine ", " The Girl is Mine (with Paul Mc.Cartney) ", " Thriller “, " Beat It ", " Billie Jean ", " Human Nature “ , “ P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing) ‘, The Lady in my Life” .
The record is in EX minus condition, there are some very faint non-sounding hairlines from removing the record from the inner sleeve only. The labels are in EX condition, with only a couple spindle marks.
The sleeve is in EX condition, there is some very slight handling wear on the upper seam and there is a sticker with a name on the back. The inner sleeve with the song lyrics is also in EX condition; there is only some very light ring wear.
The most important is the BIG poster, this one is in EX minus condition. There is only a fold on the two of the lower panels and some light handling wear here and there. The advertising insert is in EX+ condition, with only some slight handling wear on the back.
This is an extremely rare copy of the Michael Jackson’s Thriller album, complete with the black sticker advertising for the temporary FREE SUPERPOSTER, the promotional adverting sheet for other Michael Jackson and Jackson Five albums and the BIG poster. This poster only came with this record for a couple weeks and when this album hit the top spot in the charts, the poster was already dropped. Furthermore, this particular poster was only sold in The Netherlands, so do not underestimate the rarity if this item. A complete Dutch copy of this album is not offered many times on Ebay and it’s getting very hard to find these days. This is your chance to complete your Michael Jackson record collection.
