Description
Michael Nesmith ~ Magnetic South ~ RCA LSP-4371
Record Condition: VG+ (LP spins perfectly flat on both sides. No spindle marks on labels, which are perfectly centered. One superficial scratch and another superfical mark on Side Two, as seen in photo #6, which do not in anyway affect play - no pops or clicks whatsoever. Side One has an area where paper bits are presssed into vinyl, as seen in photo #7. Other than those flaws, vinyl is pristine.)
Cover Condition: VG++ (In clean shrinkwrap. Perfect spine, fully readable with centered lettering. No cutout markings, no splits, no creases, no funky odors. Minor corner wear on bottom-right seam. Some light foxing on back cover near opening, as seen in photo #3.)
Inner Sleeve type: Original RCA in excellent condition, as seen in pics.
Other notes: 1970 original pressing. Ships in an over-sized Whiplash LP mailer with additional cardboard panels and vinyl removed from cover to prevent splits.
THE FINE PRINT:
- LPs are shipped with the record outside of the cover to prevent seam-splitting.
- All vinyl is conservatively graded under strong artificial light.
- All pressings are vintage pressings (not modern reissues) unless otherwise noted.
GRADING SCALE:
I grade conservatively using the Goldmine Grading Guide. There is no such thing as a "mint" record, near mint (NM) is my highest grade. Album covers follow the same grading scale.NM ~ Playing surfaces will look new with no sings of mishandling. Possibly unplayed.
VG++ ~ At most a few imperfections that have little to no effect on play. Possibly unplayed as well.
VG+ ~ Still a great-looking record with slightly more imperfections.
VG ~ Even more imperfections that may add some backround noise in parts.
VG- / G+ ~ I don't list many LPs that fall into these grades - mainly just heavily worn album covers. There is a progression downwards from VG depending on the severity of the damage.
