Description

You are looking at a rare 1st stereo pressing of Michael Rabin's Mosaics. This is the Capitol 1st 1959 full dimensional stereo pressing.

Lp was ultrasonically cleaned and placed in a new poly inner sleeve before play testing.

Please listen to my digital file of this complete album - see audio player below. I play tested it all the way through and I thought that it played very well and that it was a really lovely listening experience. I would personally play grade the vinyl VG++ (or EXC). Superb pressing sonics throughout. Very atmospheric and dimensional pressing with wonderful pressing sonics. Very mild, very low background noise heard especially in the quieter passages. Please listen to the audio rip that i included below (of approximately 40 minutes!) below before bidding. If you are a very serious buyer I would recommend listening to the entire audio before bidding so that you can hear it in its entirety before bidding.

Visually the LP grades strong VG++ (or strong EXC). Close to NM territory. I almost never grade classical records NM. Very glossy vinyl surface with few signs of ever having been played. Very clean, unmarked labels with just a touch of spindle hole wear. Has a very minor, very subtle storage warp that does not affect play at all. I only mention it to be as specific as possible in my description.

Matrix runouts:

Side 1: SP1-8506 D1" (SYMBOL) (SYMBOL)

Side 2: SP2-8506-D1" (SYMBOL) (SYMBOL)

Outer sleeve looks very presentable. The front cover is unusually glossy and clean. I see next to no wear on the front cover. The back cover looks presentable, as well, showing only mild shelf wear. I am grading the outer sleeve lower VG+ and not VG++/EXC ONLY because it has some rubbing wear and fraying at the top right corner and to a much lesser extent at the right side of the top edge - please see images. Outside of this it is a very presentable and very clean outer sleeve.

Includes its very clean original Capitol Full Dimensional Stereo inner sleeve. Very clean. No tears or creases. Has mild age yellowing.
