Crisp, Vibrant unfaded cover, still in the complete, clean original Factory Shrink Wrap with no creases or marks. 2 lightly bumped (still sharp) corner-tips. Corners sharp, edges straight. Seams and spine completely intact with a very small spot of cracking in white area of spine. all Spine Titles and label/catalog number are unaffected - crisp, sharp and completely legible. No splits.

All material recorded live at Continuum Studio. Original tracks transferred at mixed at Track Record, Los Angeles. Mastered and pressed at Creative Sound, Malibu, Ca.

Michael Stearns is a multi-discipline music composer and soundtrack designer/producer, most known for his 1970s and '80s Electronic works.
 
His major works include the equally stunning follow-up LP "Planetary Unfolding" (Continuum Montage CM1004), music scores for Ron Fricke's stunningly cinematic, non-verbal 70MM films "Chronos", "Baraka" - and "Samsara” (with Lisa Gerrard And Marcello De Francisci), and over the years, music for NASA, Laserium, Disney films, HBO, ABC, PBS, BBC, Discovery Channel and James Cameron's "Avatar”, "The Abyss" and "Titanic”.
 
ANCIENT LEAVES was Michael’s first album, recorded in 1976/77. Instruments utilized include a Mini Moog synthesizer and a Finish lap harp (Kantele) onto 4 track tape, a few other instruments, voicings and night ambience recorded in the desert outside of Tucson, Arizona. The 2nd side: Elysian E, was performed with an Arp Synthesizer played through an MXR digital delay, one of the first, then slowed to half speed. To this he added Moog and EML synthesizers, ‘The Beam’ and his voice. Mastering from original source.

In 1975, Michael moved from Tucson to Los Angeles to study with Emilie Conrad at the Continuum Studio where Michael began performing with Fred Stofflet, Gary David, and Don Preston..

From an utterly vast and deep record collection, from my life-long best friend
who was a DJ at the Radio Station I co-founded in the 1970's - and who worked for me at my California record store in the '70s and '80s. . Sadly he has now left this mortal coil, bequeathing me his deep Vinyl Mine.
We had very similar tastes - so numerous prime duplicates are being listed.
