GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie vengono controllati sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i i 33 giri in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1. Per EP e singoli a 45 giri utilizzo un Thorens TD 166 BC con testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All LPs in auction have been fully heard on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with a Grado Statement 1 moving magnet cartridge. I listen EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a Thorens TD 166 BC turntable with a Goldring 1006 MM cartridge. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : cinque i brani composti e diretti da Michel Legrand. Fra questi il mio preferito è quello riguardante la lussuria, beninteso senza malizia alcuna. Infatti "Comédie Musicale" ha un travolgente ritmo jazz con fantastici scats della sorella del compositore Christiane Legrand, sebbene non accreditata nelle note del disco. Nel mezzo le sonorità di tromba, basso e batteria. Un allegro ballo popolare per l'unico brano composto da Pierre  Jansen: "Avarice Polka". Ottima la composizione di Sacha Distel "Twist de l'Orgueil" dove ha maggior rilevanza la grande qualità jazz dell'organo ben seguito dal basso e dagli strumenti a fiato piuttosto che il facile ascolto della danza allora tanto popolare. In questo caso possiamo chiamarlo semi-twist. Il secondo lato è tutto di Legrand: un allegro e vivace can-can, divertente fragore musicale in "L'Orphéon du Gars Legrand", il fascino esotico e trasognato del suono scaturito dall'ukulele Hawaiano e per finire "Soupe" tema delicato con romantici violini.

Notes : five tracks are composed and conducted by Michel Legrand. Among them, my favorite is the one concerning lust, of course without any malice. In fact, "Comédie Musicale" has an overwhelming jazz rhythm with fantastic scats by the composer's sister Christiane Legrand, although uncredited in the notes on the label and back cover. In the middle the sonorities of trumpet, bass and drums. A cheerful popular dance for the only tune composed by Pierre Jansen: "Avarice Polka". Then an excellent composition by Sacha Distel "Twist de l'Orgueil" where the beautiful jazz vein of the organ well supported by the bass and the wind instruments has greater significance than the easy listening dance even so popular at that time. In this case we can classify it as semi-twist. The second side is all about Legrand: a merry and lively can-can, funny and rowdy music in "L'Orphéon du Gars Legrand", the exotic and dreamy charm of the sound arising from the Hawaiian ukulele and finally "Soupe" tuneful theme with romantic violins.

Una commedia divisa in sette episodi che prendono il titolo dai sette vizi capitali: lussuria, avarizia, invidia, accidia, superbia, gola e ira. Una coproduzione Franco Italiana. Sette i registi: Roger Vadim, Jean-Luc Godard, Jacques Demy, Philippe Broca, Edouard Molinaro, Sylvain Dhomme e Claude Chabrol. Fra la moltitudine di attori: Jean-Louis Trintignant, Dany Saval, Claudine Auger, Marie-José Nat, Dominique Paturel, Danièle Barraud, Jacques Charrier, Claude Brasseur, France Anglade, Micheline Presle......
