Mega rare sole album from little-known Quebec singer-songwriter-musician Michel-Maurice Fortin, who composed, privately recorded, produced and released this self-titled obscurity in 1979.  

 

With 500 LP's pressed and circulated independantly (only within the artistic circles in and around central Quebec) his album remains genuinely difficult to find today.    Yet this is accomplished songwriting that's extremely well produced, with Michel-Maurice Fortin (vocals, guitars, sax, flute, percussion) playing-overdubbing all instruments with only a little help from Plume and l'Infonie bassist Maurice Richard (bass) as well as Jean Sauvageau (formerly with Péloquin / Sauvageau).

 

Solid loner-folk and light progressive folk with a sound that's somewhere between the painful lyrics of fellow Quebecers Ajour and/or Roger Rodier and the more up-tempo progressive folk-rock vibes of Shawi.
