Conditions : gatefold cover shows a moderate creasing  in the upper right corner and some brown tiny spots in the white areas inside more visible in the backlit, EX  / disc has some minor scuffs not affecting playing except for very few slight clicks, EX+ 

GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie vengono controllati sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i i 33 giri in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1. Per EP e singoli a 45 giri utilizzo un Thorens TD 166 BC con testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All LPs in auction have been fully heard on a turntable Rega Planar 3 with a moving magnet cartridge Grado Statement 1. I listen EPs and singles 45  rpm. on a turntable Thorens TD 166 BC with a MM cartridge Goldring 1006. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : musiche composte e dirette da Michel Polnareff. Bella edizione Giapponese con copertina completamente diversa dalla stampa Francese. Film ambientato nella Spagna alla fine del diciassettesimo secolo, conseguentemente i brani dovrebbero ispirarsi alla musica barocca e a quella popolare. E' così solo parzialmente. Trattandosi di una commedia quasi farsesca il musicista Francese si prende alcune "licenze poetiche" rendendo maggiormente interessante la colonna sonora. Il tema d'apertura (a1) è carico d'epicità espressa da un ritmo molto veloce, percussioni violente e coro tale da ricordare le sonorità degli spaghetti western. Yves Montand mormora una romantica serenata priva di parole di senso compiuto accompagnato da un ottima chitarra classica lasciando poi spazio al vivace ritmo di una tradizionale danza Spagnola, lo zapateado (a2a, a2b). Poco dopo uno dei brani più sorprendenti. " Fuite de Blaze et Arrivée du Taureau " (a4) con organo Hammond, confusi effetti sonori con voci e rumori vari e nella seconda parte un coro misticheggiante. Poi lo spogliarello della governante accompagnato dal pianoforte con alcune sfumature jazz (a5) mentre in " La Noria " (a6) possiamo ascoltare un godibilissimo brano strumentale che definirei come funk barocco. Il suo veloce ritmo è sostenuto dalle percussioni e dal flauto. Minor "scandalo" nel secondo lato anche se un tango (b7) o un valzer (b6) non sono molto credibili (e soprattutto ancora da nascere) alla corte del re di Spagna Carlo II. Simpatica musica orientale (b5) e per rientrare in perfetta sincronia con quei tempi storici tanto bel flamenco.

Notes : music and orchestra Michel Polnareff. Beautiful Japanese edition with cover completely different from the French release. Film set in Spain in the late seventeenth century, consequently, the various tracks should be inspired by the baroque music and the popular one. It 's so only partially. Being a farcical comedy, the French musician takes some "artistic license" making more interesting the soundtrack. The opening theme (a1) is full of epic expressed by a very fast rhythm, violent percussion and chorus reminding the sonorities of spaghetti westerns. Yves Montand whispers wordlessly a romantic serenade accompanied by an excellent classical guitar then leaving space to the lively beat of a traditional Spanish dance, the Zapateado (a2a, a2b). Soon after one of most amazing tracks. " Fuite de Blaze et Arrivée du Taureau " (a4) with Hammond organ, confused sound effects with voices and various noises and in the second part a mystical chorus. Soon after the striptease of the governess accompanied by  piano with some jazz shades (a5) while in " La Noria " (a6), we can listen to a special instrumental tune I would define as very enjoyable Funk Baroque. Its fast rhythm is supported by the percussion and flute. Minor "scandal" in the second side although a tango (b7) or a waltz (b6) are not very credible (and above all unborn) to the court of King Charles II of Spain. Nice oriental music (b5) and to go back in perfect sync with these historical times so much beautiful flamenco.

Con Louis de Funès, Yves Montand, Alice Sapritch, Karin Shubert, Venantino Venantini, Alberto de Mendoza e Eduardo Fajardo.
