Description
MICHELE : Saturn Rings LP (ABC [USA] ABCS-684) 1969.
Record is excellent with minimal light sleeve marks only. Cover is VG+ with a cut-out hole (top left), and light edge/corner wear, including some small tears at the lower spine. With original ABC inner sleeve (creased and split 3" at bottom).
Clean original copy of this scarce soft-psych LP by Curt Boettcher-associate Michele O'Malley (Millennium, Sagittarius, Friar Tuck, etc). The names of all the backing musicians are mis-spelled, we assume for contractual reasons: credited players are "Elliott Ingber", aka Elliot Ingber (Mothers of Invention, Captain Beefheart's Magic Band, etc), "Bobby Narcoff", aka Bobby Notkoff (Rockets, Karen Dalton, etc), "Lowel George", aka Lowell George (Little Feat), and "Mike Melvine", aka Mike Melvoin (Wrecking Crew, Ceyleib People, Wendy & Bonnie, etc). Boettcher himself is not credited other than as songwriter on some tracks, but it's generally assumed that he had a hand in producing the LP, though the credited producer is Mike Deasy (Friar Tuck himself, name spelled correctly). Also featuring some songwriting contributions by Bobby Jameson, aka "Chris Lucey" (speaking of incorrect credits...).
