MICK SOFTLEY - Sunrise - Rare vinyl LP
CBS S 64098 - 1970
Very rare and sought after LP featuring singer-songwriter, Mick Softley, backed by, amongst others, Jerry Donahue, Pat Donaldson, Gerry Conway (all later backing Sandy Denny in Fotheringay and with Fairport Convention links). Donahue's guitar is a real feature of several tracks on the album.
I bought this having seen Softley in concert, whilst at University. His live version of 'Time Machine' was magnificent.
Now, according to Discogs, labelled Psychedelic Rock, but it is more folk-rock, with some esoteric twists. Well worth checking out.
Condition of vinyl is excellent; gatefold sleeve, with images of Sunrise, Earthrise, Moonrise and Star-rise, also very good - just a few marks on front.
