My Sunday bonus item this week is an ORIGINAL 1950s-ERA U.K. VEE-JAY'S SPECIAL / ACE RECORDS British Guyana calypso 78 RPM record titled 'Too Much Sugar In The Chocolate'/'Etanami (B.G. Boat Shanty) from Mighty Thunder with Nello And His Happiness Boys. It is Vee-Jay's Special / Ace Records catalog number 1029. This 78 is authentic Guyanese calypso, recorded in British Guyana, South America, and is an Ace Production. Visual condition of play surface is a mid VG+ with most original gloss and a moderate amount of surface marks, scuffs, and very light scratches, none of which can be felt and none of which will affect play. Record has no cracks, surface or sub-surface, no chips, and no warps. One label has a little very light and almost invisible writing in pencil, no other flaws. Record will be shipped double packed - The record will first be placed in a standard professional cardboard LP mailer with extra cardboard flats on both sides of the record inside the mailer, and the mailer will then be placed into a larger box with cushioning material on both sides of the mailer inside the outer box. I will cover the cost of postal insurance on this shipment, I would not ship a fragile 78 RPM record uninsured. This rare 78 would make a choice addition to any vintage calypso or Carribean music record collection!
