Mildred and the Mice - “I Like My Mice (Dead)” b/w “Spider Bite” - Produced by Jack WhiteThe first in the Third Man blue series of 45s and the debut single from this "mysterious goth milquetoast from Mammoth Cave, Kentucky".
This single was made exclusively for the Third Man pop-up store in downtown Los Angeles and could only be purchased at the ‘Bizarro’ Third Man store. The pop up was only open for a few hours on Wednesday, August 26th 2009. Nevertheless, this copy was purchased one random Wednesday morning in 2010 at the Third Man store in Nashville. It had supposedly been displayed on the counter by accident.
Only 100 copies of this single were ever made, making this series of singles one of the most collectible items in the Third Man catalog. This single is mint and un-played (because you can’t play it-- there’s a special backwards label that covers the hole. This label has to be broken in order to play them on your record player. That said, this special label is un-tampered with!)
