This material was recorded in Paris on December 4 and 5, 1957 for the motion picture “Ascenseur pour L’Echafaud” or “Elevator To The Gallows”, starring Jeanne Moreau. Miles Did the “Jazz Track and the personnel is; Miles Davis (tp) Barney Wilen (ts) Rene Urtreger (p) Pierre Michelot (b) Kenny Clarke (d). I missed this one! SIDE 1 Generque, L’Assassinat De Carala, Sur L’Autoroute, Julien Dans L’Ascenseur, Florence Sur Les Champs-Elysees. Side 2: Diner Au Motel, Evasion De Julien, Visite Du Vigile, Au Bar Du Petit Bac, Chez Le Photographe Du Motel. This is a MONO recording.
I’ve graded both the vinyl and the record jacket as EX for the following reasons. The vinyl appears to be in near mint condition, but a close glance at Cut 1, Side 2 shoes a slight defect in the pressing. However, it does not in any way effect the playing. There is a small mark on Side 1, Cut 4,which has a small mark but does not interfere with sound. The vinyl retains its original luster and some very slight wear around the spindle hole. The record jacket is in excellent condition with some very slight shelf wear on the bottom seam. If you have any questions, please email me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks.
