Description

MILES DAVIS – BAG’S GROOVE – PRESTIGE PR 7109 – 446 W 50TH ST. NYC – VG+/EX - RVG – MONO MILES DAVIS – BAG’S GROOVE – PRESTIGE PR 7109 – 446 W 50TH ST. NYC – VG+/EX - RVG – MONO

There are two recording sessions on this LP. Side A was recorded on December 24, 1954 and features Miles Davis on trumpet, Milt Jackson on vibes, Thelonious Monk on piano, Percy Heath on bass and Kenny Clarke on drums. SIDE A: BAG’S GROOVE (take 1) and BAG’S GROOVE (take 2). The other session on Side B was recorded on June 29, 1954 and features Miles Davis on trumpet, Sonny Rollins on tenor, Horace Silver on piano, Percy Heath on bass and Kenny Clarke on drums. SIDE B: AIREGIN; OLEO; BUT NOT FOR ME and DOXY. On Side A, in the blank vinyl is “A – RVG – AB” and on Side B is “B – RVG – AB”. The address on the LP is “446 W. 50th ST., N.Y.C.. The same address in on the record jacket. This is a MONO recording.

I have graded this LP as VG+ and the record jacket as M- for the following reasons. The LP on Side A is clean of any marks or wear. Side A has a surface scuff, which doesn’t interfere with play. There is no sign of it when tracking, but it is there. That keeps this from an EX grading. The record jacket is graded as EX and just misses a M- grading. There is some very slight lifting of the liner notes at the very top on the left side. There is also an old sticker mark on the right side of the liner notes. The address on the record jacket is “447 west 50th street, new york 19, n.y.” The LP and the record jacket match. If you have any questions, please email me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks.

PLEASE NOTE! eBay recently excluded the following countries for bids on vinyl records and CDs. Excluded are: Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Bulgaria, Latvia, Thailand, Romania, Russian Federation, Vietnam, South Africa and China. If you wish to bid, please contact me through eBay and I can place your eBay ID in a list, which allows you to bid. If you are considering bidding, please do it as soon as possible as I will not be able to do it at the last minute. Once you are on the list, you will be able to bid on future auction. Thanks, Tom

PAYMENT & SHIPPING

Satisfaction guaranteed on item. I regret that the USPS has raised their prices. The LP will be well packed. Fully packed in a crush proof box, it weighs 1.8 pounds. Due to increased cost, I have to charge an additional $1.00 for packing in the crush proof box. Believe me, it’s worth it! The method of payment is PayPal. As of October 20, 2008, eBay has decided to make PayPal the only method of payment for this item! This way, eBay has you coming and going! If you are a bidder who prefers to pay by other means, I suggest that you file a complaint! I regret the inconvenience. The LP will be shipped either by Media Rate @ $2.98 or by Priority Mail @ $5.80 and up depending where you reside. Overseas bidders should consider First Class Mail International. The cost to Europe and Asia begins at $20.45 in the crush proof box. It’s worth it! USPS has hammered overseas shipping!

SIDE A

SIDE B

On May-16-13 at 18:37:58 PDT, seller added the following information:

PLEASE NOTE: There is an error in the description. SIDE A is clean of any marks. SIDE B has a surface scuff, which does not interfere with play. I cannot hear any continuous tick while listening to SIDE B. There may a few slight pops here and there if you listen very closely. That's why this LP is graded VG+ and not higher. The condition of SIDE B brings down the grading. My equipment tracks very lightly, so keep that in mind. I apologize for the error. Tom
