"Modern Jazz Series" Volume 3
Miles Davis (tp) Horace Silver (p) Percy Heath (b) Art Blakey (d) Rudy Van Gelder Studio, Hackensack, NJ, March 6, 1954 Original BLUE NOTE TEN INCH Lp pressing, #5040,
Blue & White Label, Double Sided Deep Groove, and with the Lexington Ave address, has the "EAR" and "9M" stamped in the dead wax, no "INC" no "R".
FLAT Lip Edge, Made in USA, 1954 The vinyl looks pretty clean but has some light surface noise... it sounds gorgeous, but there's very light background static noticeable in the quieter tracks (possibly cleanable with a VPI) and just a handful of light background ticks, NM-.
The cover: has light ringwear on the back paste-on, which is also slightly yellowed around the edges, and the paste-on has a small tear in the side closest to the spine. There's light edgewear along the bottom, slight wear at the corners which are just at the beginning stage of splitting, a price written on the back in pencil, NM- (see pictures).
