Up for auction is a true holy grail of modern music: Miles Davis’s Bitches Brew, issued in 1970 on the classic red Columbia "2-Eye" 360 Sound stereo labels (Catalog No. GP 26).An essential cornerstone of jazz fusion, rock, and avant-garde experimentation, this original pressing captures the raw lightning-in-a-bottle energy of Miles and his legendary super-group (including Wayne Shorter, John McLaughlin, Chick Corea, Joe Zawinul, and Jack DeJohnette).
To ensure the best possible listening experience, the vinyl has been professionally ultra-sonically cleaned, ridding the grooves of deep-seated micro-dust and static to reveal an exceptionally clear, dynamic analog presentation with a remarkably quiet background.
Grading & Condition Details
- Vinyl (VG+): Both LPs retain a brilliant, deep-gloss original shine. Under harsh lighting, there are a few light, superficial sleeve scuffs or wispy hairlines that do not affect play. The ultra-sonic clean has brought out stunning separation and punch. Plays with brilliant fidelity, minimal surface noise, and zero skips or heavy ticks. A phenomenal-sounding copy.
- Labels: Original red 2-Eye "360 Sound" labels are clean and crisp with sharp printing and minimal spindle wear.
- Cover / Gatefold (VG): The iconic Mati Klarwein gatefold jacket is well-preserved with vibrant colors intact. Structurally sound with solid spine text, light shelf/edge wear normal for a vintage gatefold of this era, and no seam splits or heavy markings.
