Description

MILES DAVIS “Miles Davis Volume 2” RVG, P, DG, Blue Note 1502 mono Vinyl

This is the Deep Groove, RVG-etched, “P”-pressing of MILES DAVIS’ “Volume 2” on the "47 West 63rd” labels of Blue Note BLP 1502. Musicians include Miles Davis, J. J. Johnson, Jackie McLean, Gil Coggins, Oscar Pettiford, Kenny Clarke.

VINYL plays with intermittent light surface noise (i.e, crackle, static, ?? or ????,relative to the volume of the music/instruments), with occasional pops and ticks. But ensemble sections are clear, dynamic and strong. Record plays beautifully overall. No distortion. No skips. Excellent gloss. Handful of hairline marks, none feelable. (If you can’t feel it, you won’t hear it). The Deep Groove "47 West 63rd” labels are clean, show aging and spindle wear.  See photos.

COVER is in good condition, shows age, wear. Corners worn. Top seam entirely taped. Spine split end to end, but not yet entirely separated. Bottom shows much cracking, but no split. “BLUE NOTE RECORDS, 767 Lexington Ave., New York 21” back jacket shows wear and aging. Please see photos.

This LP was play-tested on a high-end audio system. RECORD CLEANED ON VPI 16.5 VINYL CLEANER.
