Description
For auction is MILES DAVIS' "Porgy And Bess," on Columbia CL 1274, MONO, DG, Red-6-Eye, 1958. Directed by Gil Evans.
SOUND: VG+/NM
It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. The first cut, "The Buzzard Song," has a touch of faint surface noise. I mention this because the rest of side A is nearly perfect: clean and brilliant! Side B is very nice, with occasional soft surface noise. Very minor. Overall, the playback is excellent, and the listening experience outstanding. Unless you are a perfectionist, you will not be disappointed!
VINYL: VG+ or better
The vinyl is clean and glossy overall. There are a few faint scuffs or hairline marks either side, though these appear completely superficial. The deep-grooved, red-6-eye labels are outstanding!
JACKET: VG/VG+
The edges and spine are solid, with routine wear. The corners have average softening and wear, the lower right somewhat bumped. Both the front and back covers are clean and unmarked, with minor, routine wear/aging. There's a slight bend across lower left front.

A very nice copy, plays beautifully. No reserve, bidding starts at $25.
Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction.
