Description
You are bidding on the Porgy and Bess LP by Miles Davis. Released by Columbia (CS 8085), this is an early release on Stereo and was recorded in 1958 in NYC. The band includes Paul Chambers, Philly Joe Jones and some other spectacular players. The album retains tremendous luster and appears to be well cared. I rarely give a NM but this looks like it was played once at most because there isn't a mark to be found. Really terrific condition. The cover shows wear (as shown).
Grading - To avoid confusion on how I grade albums NM - Appears unplayed and bears no marks or scratches (used only when it looks unplayed) - Rarely Used EX - May have one or two visible imperfections (faint scratches or other superficial marks) that won't affect playing VG+ - A few visible imperfections (faint scratches or other superficial marks) that won't affect playing VG - Same imperfections found on VG, but in greater number. Nothing deep enough to be felt with fingernail G - Decent Luster and a number of imperfections including a scratch that can be felt with fingernail
I use the US Postal Service and use priority mail to ensure quick delivery although size/weight can often be a deterrent due to a balloon fee on boxes over a certain size. Shipping costs are based on weight and distance from my home in Fairhaven, MA. In simplest terms, I ship priority mail unless it is a book (then I ship using media mail) or if the item is bigger than a breadbox or heavier than 5 lbs (unless I can fit it in a flat rate box). I'm also open to local pick-up at my home in Fairhaven.
I've been selling on Ebay since 1998 but this is not a full time job.
