Description
MILES DAVIS – RELAXIN’ PRESTIGE 7129 – 446 W ST. NYC – EX/M- - MONO
There are two Van Gelder sessions on this LP with the same personnel. It features Miles Davis on trumpet, John Coltrane on tenor, Paul Chambers on bass and Philly Joe Jones on drums. The first session was recorded on May 11, 1956 and there are two numbers from that session, “It Could Happen To You” and “Woody’n You” The balance of the material is from a recording session on October 26, 1956. SIDE A: IF I WERE A BELL; YOU’RE MY EVERYTHING and I COULD WRITE A BOOK. SIDE B: OLEO; IT COOULD HAPPEN TO YOU and WOODY’N YOU. On Side A of the blank vinyl is “RVG” with an inverted “C” preceding it. On Side B, there is “RVG” with an inverted “D” following it. The address on the label is “446 W 50th St., N.Y.C” as well as the record jacket. This is Mono recording.
I have graded the LP as EX and the record jacket as M- for the following reasons. The LP is clean of marks, with the exception of a mark on the rim of Side A, before play and a tiny one on Cut 1 on the same side, which do not interfere with play. Without them, this would be a M- LP. The record jacket is in near mint condition with no sign of wear, except on the lower right corner, but not enough to drop the rating. The address on the record jacket is “447 west 50th street, new york 19, n.y.” If you have any questions, please email me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks.
PLEASE NOTE! eBay recently excluded the following countries for bids on vinyl records and CDs. Excluded are: Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Bulgaria, Latvia, Thailand, Romania, Russian Federation, Vietnam, South Africa and China. If you wish to bid, please contact me through eBay and I can place your eBay ID in a list, which allows you to bid. If you are considering bidding, please do it as soon as possible as I will not be able to do it at the last minute. Once you are on the list, you will be able to bid on future auction. Thanks, Tom
PAYMENT & SHIPPING
Satisfaction guaranteed on item. I regret that the USPS has raised their prices. The LP will be well packed. Fully packed in a crush proof box, it weighs 1.8 pounds. Due to increased cost, I have to charge an additional $1.00 for packing in the crush proof box. Believe me, it’s worth it! The method of payment is PayPal. As of October 20, 2008, eBay has decided to make PayPal the only method of payment for this item! This way, eBay has you coming and going! If you are a bidder who prefers to pay by other means, I suggest that you file a complaint! I regret the inconvenience. The LP will be shipped either by Media Rate @ $2.98 or by Priority Mail @ $5.80 and up depending where you reside. Overseas bidders should consider First Class Mail International. The cost to Europe and Asia begins at $20.45 in the crush proof box. It’s worth it! USPS has hammered overseas shipping!
