a few light hairline marks per side, plays with good fidelity through out with some light noise in the background. Has not been cleaned and should improve further on a VPI-style system. Deep groove, original mono pressing on the 6-eye columbia labels.

Overall in good shape, no writing or splits, general surface wear on both sides.
A classic session with the immortal quintet of Coltrane, Garland, Chambers and Jo Jones, this is perhaps their most mature recording, with the title track taking on a chilling somber modernity.
AMG says - "It's breathtaking how seamless it all is. There's little else to say except that Round About Midnight is among the most essential of Davis' Columbia recordings." 5 of 5 stars. - we do not disagree!
