Of course, the original analog tapes were used for this, you can hear it! Mosaic kept the order of the pieces as they played the musicians. Particularly noteworthy is the interplay of Miles Davis and Wynton Kelly in some pieces, which led to wonderful, exciting passages. In general, the quintet seemed to be in a very good mood, the vitality and the sensitive playing, especially with quieter, swinging sets impressed us even after more than 40 years! As usual with Mosaic, the box comes with a nice black and white booklet. Highly recommended!....................

Darauf haben sich viele Jazzfreunde gefreut, nicht nur eingefleischte Miles Davis-Fans: Die beiden Konzerte plus weitere bisher unveröffentlichte Tracks sind nun in erstklassiger Überspielung zu haben! Natürlich wurden hierfür die Original Analog-Tapes verwendet, man hört es! Mosaic hat dabei die Reihenfolge der Stücke belassen, so wie sie die Musiker gespielt haben. Besonders hervorzuheben ist bei einigen Stücken das Wechselspiel von Miles Davis und Wynton Kelly, was zu wunderbaren, spannenden Passagen führte. Überhaupt schien das Quintett extrem gut aufgelegt zu sein, die Vitalität und das feinfühlige Spiel besonders bei ruhigeren, swingenden Sets beeindruckt uns auch nach über 40 Jahren! Wie üblich bei Mosaic liegt der Box ein schönes Schwarzweiß Booklet bei. Sehr empfehlenswert!....................
