Miller Anderson was a significant guitarist from the late sixties and early seventies. His early bands were The Voice and At Last The 1958 Rock 'n' Roll Show (which also included Ian Hunter), but his first well known one was The Keef Hartley Band, a jazzy, progressive era rock outfit. When he left it, after differences with Hartley, he set about recording these solo efforts, assisted by Madeline Bell, Lyn Dobson and Mick Weaver (Wynder K. Frog). Indeed Weaver's keyboards and Anderson's soulful voice were distinguishing features on his typical progressive era rock album, which has recently been reissued on the prolific German-based Repertoire label. The non-album 45 'B' side doesn't appear on the CD either.

After this solo effort Anderson formed Hemlock, then he teamed up again with Hartley in Dog Soldier. He was later in T. Rex in it's final days and formed the Dukes in the late seventies together with Ronnie Leahy, Jimmy McCulloch and Charlie Tumahai. Their self-titled album (Warner Brothers K 56710) 1979 also featured Barry de Souza and Morris Pert.
