Description
One of the great modern artists from Brazil. Milton Nascimento has not only consistently released great LPs since 1967, but his talents were coopted by a wide assortment of American artists like Wayne Shorter, Cat Stevens, Paul Simon, and Duran Duran. This LP is one of my personal favorites, and if you're unfamiliar with Brazilian music and/or Milton, you will forever thank me for opening a door into a world of great music.
This copy, MILTON, was originally released in. 1970. This copy I estimate is from 1972 based on the label. It's a stereo pressing on the Brazil Odeon Label. It combines many styles of music to make a singular sound. Those range from psych, funk, latin, and folk. He sings with assurance and authority, and assembled a super cool LP from the time and place.
Brazilian LPs from the Tropicalia period into the 70s era were almost entirely only pressed in Brazil, so they has a limited production on vinyl, as well as an influence that was limited by the boarders. Additionally Brazilians played hard, and the LPs that survived in great shape are in limited supply.
This copy is amazing NEAR MINT. The cover is in outstanding shape, and graphically arresting. We've all seen what happens to white LPs over time, but this copy is as good as you could expect. The top front right there's a small bend that cuts across the first angle of the M in Milton. It's largely unnoticeable. The inside gatefold and back cover are beautiful-- NEAR MINT
The LP plays perfectly it's a pleasure, and a tour de force of funky, danceable, groovalishous sound. It's NEAR MINT.
Not an LP you see every day, and especially in great condition.
