Description
A great live performance by the Charles Mingus group at the Monterey Jazz Festival in September 1964. Musicians from the regular group included John Handy, Charles McPherson, Lonnie Hillyer, Jaki Byard and Dannie Richmond. On one composition, Meditations On Integration, guest musicians included Buddy Collette and Jack Nimitz. This recording was first a limited release on Mingus’ own label in 1965 and 1966, but received a wider release on this version, distributed by Fantasy in 1968.
This record has been cleaned and play-graded. The record surfaces are rated as VG+, with clean surfaces and almost no surface noise. This record is in its original inner paper sleeve. The record cover is in VG+ condition - the covers are clean and unmarked (see photos). There is minimal ring wear. The spine and seams are intact. The labels are clean and unmarked with very little spindle wear.
This record is from my personal collection and I have decided it’s now time to start selling most of my records. I bought this LP in New condition around 40 years ago and it has been carefully stored and occasionally played since.
