MINISTRY With Sympathy 1983 Arista US 1st Pressing LP AL 6-8016 Synth-Pop Metal
This is the debut full-length album by Ministry, released in 1983 during the band’s early synth-pop era, before their later pivot into industrial metal. With Sympathy captures a sharply different side of Al Jourgensen’s catalog—melodic, electronic, and rooted in early ’80s new wave aesthetics. Tracks like “Work For Love” and “Revenge” became club staples and document a distinct moment in the U.S. post-punk underground.
This copy is the original U.S. pressing on Arista Records, manufactured in 1983. The album is housed in its original jacket with printed inner sleeve.
