This is Great News, because the cover is perfecly flat, it appears that there has never been an LP inside this cover.

Actually this cover may be the 1956 2nd version of the First Edition, which has close to the same rarity as the 1st version. 

Cover Condition: Mint- , Clean , no splits, no edge wear, no ringwear. A real beauty.  the back cover is a little less grade.

RECORD GRADING (Usually Visual) :

FS=Original Factory Sealed. ///

New= New (or Mint) perfect in every way, record appears unplayed. ///

New- = New minus (or Mint minus), record played maybe 1 to 9 times , perhaps a few spindle lines on label, and maybe a sleeve line or two. Covers close to M, has maybe a small corner bend, maybe the very slightest of ring line caused by the record.///

VG+ = Very Good Plus, record played a little more than an m- but well cared for. Vinyl has the vast majority of its original luster, may have sleeve lines, maybe a few very lite scuffs; maybe one or two small, very light surface scratches. But not all at the same time. Cover MAY have very minor ringwear, maybe a few other flaws, a minor corner bend or two, maybe a small partial seam split; ///

VG = record has the flaws of a VG+, only more of them; may also have some small scratches that are felt with a fingernail. Vinyl is very playable and will play through, good luster. Probably some noise between tracks, maybe in quiet passages. Still, a reasonably well cared for record. /// VG- = proportionally lower than a VG.////

G = It is rare that I will even list a record in this condition; but it will be proportionally lower than a VG-.

I wanted to add this as a result of the question below

The condition of spine, corners and seams top and bottom are all excellent.
No text missing. No corner dings, No partial or full seams splits.
No scuffs to front, No scratches.
As you state, The image does show some soiling, as I think you see in the photo there are two very small soiling spots (one smaller than a pea the other is 1/2 that and much fainter) around the middle left side of the back cover, and as the photo shows there is minor browning to the white parts (after all it is 58 yr old paper)

Now, I did just notice there is a small stain (about  1/2" dia) at the bottom left of Elvis' guitar, it blends  so well I missed it the first time.
Also there are 3 tiny and shallow  horizontal 1" creases around the middle left side of the front cover. 
Also there is a very  tiny shallow1/8" crease to the past on photo in the lower right corner, but there is no corner damage.
NOTE: none of these "new" flaws is noticable from arms length. If I can capture them, I'll add the photos to this listing.
Also note: I did not list this as Mint, but Mint- (front) & essentially VG++ back, to try to account for anything I might have missed.  All things considered this one is finer than probably 99% of these  delicate covers you will ever find for sale.

I have added extreme close-up photos, as close as my camera will focus.

The cover is better than any of these photos shows, they make everything look worse than it is to the naked eye. Especially the whites and tans, they look darker than they really are. Please keep this in mind.

I still have to add a photo of the upper left corner, the ones I took do not even look close to  the actual cover. I'm going to do that right now.......

Well, I posted the final photos: the bottom right & left. All I can say is the actual cover looks better than these photos. I did my best. Thank you all.

I just noticed, when I looked at my listing, that the close-up photo of the lower left corner that I added, does not appear in the listing. This corner is also very nice. If you can see this photo please let me know.
