We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. 1968 scarce original...for whatever reason far away harder to find than their first album...here, the original first pressing of the second Beacon Street Union, a formidable Boston garage psych group who made but the two collectible albums filled with self composed material ...the organ/guitar structured band had considerable talents, landing them among the two best groups out of the lauded BOSSTOWN SOUND scene....

The album, it seems, was to have centered around the life, death, and afterlife, of a clown. The front cover photo shows the group paying homage to the deceased at the grave, while the back cover shows the band following the clown across the sky after his rebirth on the astral plane.

The record begins earnestly enough. The title track describes the funeral scene, while the following instrumental seems to suggest the spirit crossing over. The haunting lamentation "Angus of Aberdeen", a tale of longing for childhood days before the coming of grief, sets the stage for a wider exposition of the theme.

The lyrics inhabit a truly mesmerising and poignant piece of music that uses the basic 'rock structure of guitar and organ, bass & drums, but also enhances with vibes, flute, strings, etc that never fails to send shivers up the spine: haunting and beautiful really! Their first self titled LP is definitely a nice slice of fuzz guitar hard rock, but the Clown album has more personality . The track ‘May I light your Cigarette’ is pure psychedelic demented strangeness, and the whole thing comes across as a labour of love as these guys experiment with new forms of rock that have their own special sad/sweet/innocent quality...

CONDITION: The cover: is MINT a (rare) final collection copy = still in original factory shrink wrapper =  being dark and 42 years old this cover almost always shows a lot of shelf wear, here, a TOP survivor =  both sides have bright original colors, no seam splits, no bends and no writing.

The vinyl: is clean ...all shiny smooth  M- playing great without problems = should not disappoint. With clean MGM labels
