We have a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 2/3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers.
We mail all paid orders out once a week on Fridays/Saturdays. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule to Monday. We strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. Please be aware we have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.

Original 1970 first pressing in thick gatefold cover of the 4th and last under the name Tyrannosaurus Rex, and the first with bongo / percussionist Micky Finn...also the first taste of success with the British chart topping infectious groove in "RIDE A WHITE SWAN"
And so it went with Tyrannosaurus Rex and the first with new partner Mickey Finn, produced by Tony Visconti. Bolan replaced Steve Peregrin Took with bongo player Mickey Finn, who would remain with Bolan until 1975. Unlike Took, Finn had no song writing aspirations and Tony Visconti commented he was not so talented as Took, "Mickey wasn't as inventive as Steve. Mickey's backing vocals weren't strong, so Marc would double-track them with his own voice for reinforcement". It is notable for the beginning of Bolan using electric instruments on the T.Rex albums....A Beard of Stars was a bit of a departure from the earlier Tyrannosaurus Rex sound. Bolan started to incorporate more electric guitar and rockish elements, along with somewhat more accessible songwriting. Songs such as the wonderful,"Pavilions of Sun", still have the trademark quivering vocals and hand percussion rhythms, but notice the electric guitar lead that starts to creep in halfway through. This is a clear indicator of the new direction Bolan's music was taking. This album is a precursor to the rock defining statements of Electric Warrior and The Slider, and Bolan noticeably still has one foot in the world of fairies and oddball-folk whimsy. The album is all the better for it. While there are other places to start a T. Rex re-discovery, A Beard of Stars is as good as any, as it showcases a bit of both sides of this exceptional talent....highlights include "By the Light of the Magical Moon," "Elemental Child," and "A Daye Laye," though weirder items like "Wild Cheetah" and "Dove" bore a slight similarity to some of Syd Barrett's gentlest compositions.
