Super-rare limited-edition 45! Immaculate A Taste Of Honey/Everybody's Trying To Be My Baby from The Beatles 1962 Live Recordings UK-only numbered box set; it looks virtually unplayed. The picture sleeve features an iconic shot from one of the first photo sessions with Ringo.
The awesome historical (& commercial) value of these recordings, the first ever of the Liverpudlian Lads in concert, almost compensates for the fidelity you'd expect from scotch-taping an extension microphone to the lead singer's mic stand. John Lennon readily agreed to let Liverpool electronics whiz Adrian Barber (1938-2020) record the Beatles on New Year's Eve 1962 as long as Adrian bought the band's beers during The Boys' energetic stage show at Hamburg's Star Club. This performance by John, Paul, George & new drummer Ringo was their last in Hamburg after having toiled in inky-black obscurity for over 800 hours at dingy Reeperbahn clubs from 1960 to 1962. These are the only recordings from the pre-Beatlemania days.
