      First, the Jimi Hendrix thing. Randy California may have influenced JIMI, rather than vice versa.

  12. Randy (Wolfe) "California" was a young runaway who played in a 1966, band with Jimi Hendrix for a little while called The Blue Flames.

  14. Since there were two Randy's in the band ~ Jimi called them Randy Texas and Randy California.

  16. Randy California went on to form the legendary SPIRIT
  17. 
      
  18. Shortly after Jimi's death, Randy California released this solo album, letting his guitar playing burn more than it EVER had in Spirit. "Kaptain Kopter and the Fabulous Twirly Birds", is as dedicated  testament to JIMI's EXPERIENCE as has ever been recorded!

      Very raw, yet magical, gathering in Noel Redding (using the pseudonym Clit McTorius) and Mitch Mitchell on drums along with California's step father Ed Cassidy, the longtime SPIRIT drummer, also makes an experienced appearance.

  22. "Downer" is cool psyched-out stoner rock song with sheets of distorted guitars, delayed and echoed vocals giving a "twirly acid feeling" with typical laid back Californian style all over it.

  24. Think Blue Cheer but with better riffs and superior delivery.

  26. Track 2: "Devil" is even better. A classic with killer Hendrixy guitar licks and stoned-out vocals defining the heavy acid trip within
  27.  ~ so very inspired !

  29. Following an awesome Beatles rifftastic take on the BEATLES "Day Tripper", is another psychedelic rendition of a song Hendrix used to jam with Randy "California" Wolfe before becoming Randy California, "Rain" folding into an eight-minute plus acid-rock groover. 
  30. Very unlike the BEATLES original yet terrific in free-form psychedelic content!  Randy California injects into JIMI's former EXPERIENCE another dimension and feeling to "Rain".
