SCARCE old vintage British 2ndpressing in MINT condition...on the highly collected TOWER Records label...this pressing has nothing to do with any recent reissue, and is, in this reviewer's estimation, highly superior and 'right there' to the USA TOWER 1968 pressing with strong wide range sound in the playback...
This album features guitarist Mark Loomis taking on the lead vocals and showing that the group is leaving the roots of the blues, and psychedelia behind, and going into more hard rock ala early Steppenwolf. Songs like "Fireface", and "Devil's Motorcycle" are evident that the group is going for a harder sound, and other songs like "Flowers" show that psychedelia hasn't been ruled out, but it's also branching into varied sound elements; but the angain, I Don't Need No Doctor" shows that they want thier psychedelic sound more tougher. All said, track for track, it is a pretty well organized effort in the hard garagerock bag -- unfortunatly this was the last we would hear from the group in the sixties...
