Description

Hello and welcome. Beginning in the 1960s, I made it my goal to collect every 5-star record still available, and I continued my search for 40 years. While not all the records I list for sale reached that lofty goal, they do represent an undying search for the unique and wonderful in the world of sound. I'm happy to be able to offer them to you now. Here is what you're bidding on:  TITLE & ARTIST: "Today!" - performed by Mississippi John Hurt on the Vanguard Records label (VSD 79220), in beautiful original stereo sound, issued on this recording in 1966. CONDITION: JACKET - VG+(Jacket is moderately worn, with edge/corner/ring/age wear - please see actual album in photos); VINYL -Near Mint(Vinyl is glowing, beautiful, and has only a couple of light scuffs - visually graded under special daylight balanced spotlight).  SPECIAL FEATURES: Fantastic and rare stereo vinyl version of the great Mississippi John Hurt album; includes original inner sleeve; excellent back cover liner notes by Nat Hentoff; don't miss this one - it's one of the great blues albums in American history. TRACKS: Pay Day, I'm Satisfied, Candy Man, Make Me a Pallet On Your Floor, Talking Casey, Corrinna, Coffee Blues, Louis Collins, Hot Time In the Old Town Tonight, If You Don't Want Me Baby, Spike Driver's Blues, and Beulah Land. Thanks! If you have further questions about condition or content, please don't hesitate to ask. You may bid with unworried confidence. Our sales history is your assurance of absolute integrity. Thank you and good luck. OUR GRADING SYSTEM: We grade visually, and we are happy to listen to any LP and give you an aural grade as well. SS (Still Sealed as from the factory); NM (Near Mint - our highest grade; the vinyl has only a very few light marks that do not affect play); VG++ (Very Good Plus Plus - a few more light marks than Near Mint; still a great record that plays near perfectly); VG+ (Very Good Plus - an enjoyable, played and loved, obviously used but still listenable record, usually with some light pops, but free of major audible distraction; jacket may be lightly worn, slightly dinged, even very lightly split, but NEVER trashed); VG (Very Good) and below - we usually do NOT sell these, but if we have some good reason to offer such a record, we will explain completely).
