Description
- Moby Grape released their compilation album "Great Grape" in November 1971 on Columbia Records. It includes 11 tracks from the San Francisco band's first three albums including the hit singles "Omaha" and "8:05."
- This is rare DJ Promo copy of (C 31098) from the First Pressing that is in excellent condition, especially considering it is 50-years-old and now long out of print. The cover is solid and is VG+ but does show some shelf wear as can be seen in the pictures. The disc test plays cleanly and is easily VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl. It was produced by David Rubinson, mastered at Customatrix and this copy was pressed at the Columbia Records plant in Terre Haute, Indiana. The Side One dead wax is etched P AL-31098-1C 2T.
- In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve. It will ship securely to you in the special corrugated Album Mailer seen in the last picture.
- This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 50 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
