MOBY GRAPE, ‘TRULY FINE CITIZEN’ ORIGINAL 1969 UK CBS STEREO VINYL LP. CATALOGUE No, S 63698.
Moby Grape is an American rock group from the 1960s, known for having all five members contribute to singing and songwriting and that collectively merged elements of folk music, blues, country, and jazz together with rock and psychedelic music. The group continues to perform occasionally. As described by Jeff Tamarkin, "The Grape's saga is one of squandered potential, absurdly misguided decisions, bad luck, blunders and excruciating heartbreak, all set to the tune of some of the greatest rock and roll ever to emerge from San Francisco. Moby Grape could have had it all, but they ended up with nothing, and less.
Both record labels are in superb Near Mint condition, beautiful bright and undamaged record labels with just a couple of centre spindle lines visible.
Side 1 stamped matrix: SBPG 63698-A1 and Side 2: SBPG 63698-B1 .
Both sides of the LP are in beautiful undamaged Mint Minus condition, beautiful clean, bright vinyl surfaces to both sides, there are no scratches or scuffs, with just a couple of light hairlines.
The LP play’s beautifully throughout all the tracks without any faults, with a superb sound quality.
The LP comes in it’s original poly lined Inner bag and is protected in it’s original front laminated sleeve, which is in superb Excellent Plus condition. The front panel of the sleeve still retains it’s high gloss with just mild signs of LP storage. The reverse panel is clean with light rub marks to the bottom edge.
This is a really nice example of this original 1969 Stereo Album from Moby Grape.
